Stuff About Me

My name is Paul. I’m a human and pretend adult.

I like to draw pictures, scribble ideas for stories, make stuff look nice on a page and brighten people’s day. Luckily I get to do all these things on a daily basis as an Illustrator, Designer and Children’s Book Maker.

I have a degree in Visual Communications and Masters Degree in Illustration and I’m still crap at drawing. But I leaned into that crapness and figured out a way to make it work. (Thank You Tim.)

My areas of expertise are design and illustration for children’s books, branding, cards and stationery, clothing and editorial. I am proudly represented by the utterly lovely and amazing Lorna Hemmingway (isn’t that just the loveliest name EVER!) at Bell Lomax Moreton.

My favourite things to do are draw pictures, make friends, procrastinate, read, make lists and watch cartoons.

I feel like the world is starting to forget how to be kind so I try to spread as much joy, happiness and kindness as I can through my work and my weird smiley face.

That’s about it. Oh wait, one last things – I believe that dogs are four-legged hairy angels that walk among us.
